Dr Stephen Lowe
MBChB MPH MSc (Aesthetic Medicine) FRACGP FACAM
Dr Stephen Lowe is an internationally recognised educator in aesthetic medicine and a cosmetic physician based in Sydney, known for his contribution to advancing clinical standards through evidence-based teaching and training.
With fellowships to the Australasian College of Aesthetic Medicine and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, alongside postgraduate degrees in Public Health and Aesthetic Medicine, his teaching is grounded in both clinical experience and academic rigour.
Dr Lowe has been involved in medical education across a range of settings, including teaching within University of Sydney programs and postgraduate GP registrar training. His work also extends to specialised anatomy education and procedural training in aesthetic medicine. His work in aesthetic medicine training in Sydney focuses on evidence-based clinical practice and long-term patient outcomes.
At an international level, Dr Lowe is part of the Global KOL Network for Merz Aesthetics, where he contributes to the education and development of clinicians through workshops, conferences, and advanced training programs. He is regularly invited to present at international meetings, reflecting peer recognition of his clinical experience and teaching approach.
His teaching is centred on evidence-based practice, anatomical precision, and ethical patient care. He is particularly focused on helping clinicians develop sound clinical judgement—ensuring that treatment decisions are appropriate, consistent, and aligned with long-term patient outcomes.
In addition to formal teaching, Dr Lowe provides ongoing mentorship to clinicians, offering practical guidance in technique refinement, complication management, and treatment planning. His approach bridges the gap between theory and clinical practice, supporting the development of confident and capable practitioners.
Maintaining an active clinical practice in Sydney, Dr Lowe ensures his teaching remains current and relevant. This integration of clinical work, research, and education allows him to deliver training that reflects real-world complexity rather than purely theoretical frameworks.
